Our Aims

Road Safety For Everyone …

The Open Meeting in January 2008 attracted parents, teachers, school neighbours and community groups to agree on the following:

•Compromised road safety must be addressed

•Road congestion must be addressed

•Inappropriate parking behaviour must be addressed

Short Term Measures

•Campaign is being developed to remove driving practice that puts children at risk

•Inappropriate parking, 3 point turns & illegal manoeuvres will be addressed.

•Promotion of alternative drop-off points and exit routes

•Pupil involvement to promote road safety to Drivers

Long Term Measures

•Falkirk Council must review the issue of traffic capacity at the school

•Road calming measures should be reviewed

•Alternative school access should be considered

Action To Date:

•Raising awareness through The Falkirk Herald

•Meetings with Falkirk Council & Local Councillor

•The first parking ticket recently issued – expect more Wardens!
